DESCRIPTION: To support the analysis, requirement specification and design and the implementation of bespoke applications; To assist in the development of specification of functional, system and design requirements for bespoke applications and to assist with preparing the required documentation for applications developed. To provide programming services to satisfy special projects, office automation and other bespoke application development/integration requirements; Develop web-based applications using industry standard tools such PHP and ASP.Net; Possess excellent knowledge and skills in development of databases and queries using RDBMS such as MS-SQL and MySQL;

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering/Computer Science/Information Technology or related field; MSCD and/or other equivalent Professional Applications Developers Certification would be a distinct advantage; Four (4) years’ experience in a Microsoft and/or open source development environment. Four (4) years’ experience in system development with a 4GL and a standard Web language. At least three (3) years’ experience working with MS-SQL/MySQL database server; Microsoft Office Components integration (Ms Office 2010 in particular MS-Access); Development of applications using PHP would be a distinctive advantage; Windows server 2003/2008, Windows XP and/or Windows 7; Crystal Reports or similar reporting tool; Business Intelligence and Analytics (this would be an asset); Excellent communicator; Excellent work ethics; Sound knowledge of the operations of Government
