JOB TITLE: Supply Chain Analyst – Reference No.: FCG/CON/016 – JAMAICA FOUNDATIONS FOR COMPETITIVENESS AND GROWTH PROJECT
LOCATION: The Planning Institute of Jamaica, Kingston
DESCRIPTION: Identification and analysis of key value-chains within Jamaica that have potential for growth (that is, increased employment, and exports or import substituting output) as a building block for upgrading and development; The design and preparation of viable supply chain development programs for clusters of linked enterprises that would be potentially acceptable for funding by the proposed Jamaica Business Fund (JBF), a component of the Project.
QUALIFICATIONS: The Planning Institute of Jamaica now invites eligible consulting firms (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The selection criteria are: Master’s degree in economics, economic analysis or related field; At least 7 years’ experience working in the area of small and medium enterprises business development; At least three (3) years of experience working with supply-chains; Demonstrated research experience, including use of analytical skills and tools; Demonstrated experience in the coordination of diverse stakeholders within the business community; Previous work experience with government agencies and international development partners would be an advantage; Ability to work independently, take initiative and make sound judgments. The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to paragraph 1.9 of the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers dated January 2011, revised July 2014 (“Consultant Guidelines”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest. A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Individual Consultants method set out in the Consultant Guidelines.
