LOCATION: Petrojam Limited, Kingston

DESCRIPTION: Provide site supervision and Tank construction / repair oversight for Project Engineers; Inspect single or multiple tank construction activities to ensure compliance with construction schedules, blueprints, drawings, job specifications and to ensure that materials, procedures and Contractors’ workmanship comply with relevant API, ASME, Company codes and standards; Assist Project Engineers and technical staff with the preparation and /or review of Contractors’ payment claims and payment certification forms, Technical job scope descriptions and material requisitions for single and/or multiple Tank construction / repair projects; Monitor the services of fabrication trade contractors as required for Tank construction, renovation, maintenance and repair; Attends Construction Kick-off meeting and site meetings; Monitor Tank construction contracts to completion to ensure that labor costs, supplies and materials are received, used and charged appropriately; Coordinate with Petrojam Limited Project Engineers, Safety, OM&S and Production personnel and Contractors to determine job planning inputs and requirements; maintain liaison with all parties involved to discuss any modifications and facilitate the resolution of tank construction/ repair problems; recommend changes and modifications to blueprints, drawings and/or job specifications as appropriate; Prepare construction reports setting forth analyses of progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations and/or conclusions in the specified time; Prepares daily work permits for Tank construction and repair related work; Oversee the commissioning and handover of Tank construction and repair projects in accordance with company commissioning protocols and procedures; Develop, review and verify completion of job punch-list items with Contractor and assist with the evaluation of contractor performance.

QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ Years of experience in supervising various aspects of API650/653 tank construction projects; Training and certification in API 650/653 tank construction and repair procedures would be an asset; Basic knowledge of engineering materials, particularly structural steel, concrete and timber; Ability to read and properly interpret Engineering construction drawings; Ability to write and comprehend engineering specifications; Knowledge of construction/repair codes and standards (e.g. API650 / 653); Knowledge of Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures for Tank repair and construction activities; Ability to organize, record and present (technical) information in a clear accurate and concise manner; Be meticulous and pay close attention to details; Possess strong communication skills, construction supervision skills and contractor oversight ability; Ability to apply the principles of standard precaution and proper safety practices according to established protocols and safety guidelines to protect self and co-workers.
