Location: National Water Commission, Kingston

Description: Planning and implementing effective Public Relations and Communications campaigns and for the timely delivery of information for all Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) funded programs; Maintaining effective lines of communication internally and with external agencies (building goodwill and mutually beneficial relationships with businesses, community groups and media personnel; Liaising with IDB Program Unit’s Project Managers, Engineers, Procurement Officer, Financial Analyst and others to supply information on projects; Developing and implementing proactive programs aimed at maintaining a sound public image of the NWC; Ensuring that the NWC establishes and maintains high and positive visibility in the communities are kept informed of the NWC’s programs, achievements, contributions and viewpoints; Developing an efficient system for measuring the effectiveness of the Public relations Program and were necessary takes appropriate action to effect adjustments; Keeping up to date with all changes and developments which may affect the NWC and the delivery of services to its customers; Preparing draft speeches for the President, Chairman and Board members, Program Manager and the Projects Managers as required.

Qualifications: A Bachelors Degree in Mass Communication, Marketing, Public Relations or equivalent qualification; A minimum of three (3) years working experience in the field of Public Relations; Sound knowledge of NWCs strategic objectives and goals, Public Relations strategies and programs, Marketing principles and practices, and advertising and promotions; Sound knowledge of computer applications (Word, Powerpoint and Excel)
