Description: Edgechem Jamaica Limited seeks a suitably qualified candidate to fill the position of Production Manager whose responsibilities will include but not limited to: 1. Ensuring the smooth operations of the factory; 2. Enhancing the manufacturing process; 3. Management of raw material stock levels to ensure production needs are met; 4. Satisfying warehouse requests to ensure sales needs are met; 5. Receiving of raw material in keeping with established procedures; 6. Maintaining safe work practices within the safety guidelines of the Company, the Factory Act and the Bureau of Standards, Jamaica; 7. General housekeeping as it relates to equipment maintenance, factory workspace and tools needed in the production process; 8. Maintaining product and employee records through the use of the company’s established software and Microsoft excel, etc.
Qualifications: Tertiary level education in one of the following: Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or Industrial Technology; ;Five (5) years experience in a managerial post; Strong leadership skills; Knowledge of the paint industry would be an asset; Experience in the food or chemical industry would also be an asset as the skills sets are similar to those required
