February 2, 2008 – Jonathon Wong a sophomore at the University of Connecticut was in action as UConn beat Drexel University and University of Rhode Island on Saturday Jan 26 at meet in Storrs, Connecticut. Wong grabbed third spot in the 200 yard freestyle in 1:47.17 (2:03.94 in an Olympic size 50 metre pool). He swam as an exhibition swimmer in the 100 yard freestyle clocking 48.96 (56.73) and the anchor leg the 200 yard freestyle relay which clocked 1:29.72 Jonathon holds relay records in the 11-12, 13-14 and 15-17 year age groups. He is also co- holder at the senior national level in the 400 metre freestyle relay in 3:34.12 and the 800 metre freestyle relay at 7:57.76. He has competed at the 2006 Central American and Caribbean Games in Colombia swimming the 200 metre freestyle in 1:59.64 and the 2007 Pan & American Games competing in the same event.
