The Jamaica Partnership for Education (JPE) it is a collaborative venture between the Jamaica National Building Society Foundation and the USAID. The aim of the JPE is to help strengthen and positively transform the Jamaican public education system.
At this time JPE has vacancies for JPE ASSISTANTS.
Job Summary
Reporting to the JPE Project Manager or JPE designate the key tasks of the JPE volunteer are to:
- Assist in the outreach work of the program
- Provide promotional support to the JPE both within the Jamaica National Overseas network and outside the network in specified locations
- Conduct information gathering and reporting for the development of the JPE donor database
Qualifications / experience
o Passionate about Jamaica and interested in its development
- Knowledge of Jamaican culture would be an asset
- Knowledge and experience in marketing particularly as it relates to promotion and event planning
- Knowledge and experience in social work and social development
- Knowledge of the Caribbean social scene in New York and Miami
Required skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Sound communication skills
- Reliable, committed, able to work flexible hours
Remuneration
- Assistants will be paid an hourly rate of or payment can be contributed as a donation to assistants´ association of choice
