Over the years Jamaica’s Education System, mostly in the rural areas, has deteriorated drastically. These Schools are not equipped with the basic tools that students need in order to gain a proper education especially in this increasingly complex and high technology era. If such situation is not rectified, our potential leaders will lag behind the rest of the Caribbean and indeed the world.
Lorraine Campbell with Jammins Entertainment and Kim Morrison with Unique Weddings and Tours have been privately donating supplies through various organizations to schools in Jamaica. At the moment they are financially contributing to the education and social stability of children attending Primary and Secondary School in Jamaica.
This year, with your help, they would like to donate part proceeds from their 1st Annual “Share a Smile” event on May 1st at the Cultural Performing Arts Center in Brooklyn and Raffle drawing on July 25th live on Caribbean Life Style TV (CIN). Part Proceeds will go towards donating School Supplies and any other items that are deemed essential to the education of the students.
Windsor Primary School located in Portland, Jamaica has been selected to be the Pilot School. The Education Officer for the region Mrs. Audrey Harris – Clarke has graciously accepted the offer of assistance on behalf of the school. The aim is to try and alleviate some of their current difficulties.
