On Saturday August 30th the Labor Day weekend festivities kick off with the Brooklyn Soul dance
party. Admission to the dance party is FREE before 12 for everyone that RSVPs via the event’s website
www.BrooklynSoul.com or by sending an email to [email protected]. The Saturday August 30th dance
party will pay special tribute to Caribbean music including Reggae, Soca, Zouk, and Salsa.

Brooklyn Soul is a new monthly dance party that encompasses music from around the globe. The dance party will
feature some of New York City’s premier djs including DJ Silence of Pointblank Sound. DJs will also be playing a
special selection of 80’s & 90’s Classics, R&B, Latin, Neo-Soul, AfroBeat, Funk & Soul music.

The dance party will be held at the all new Tamboril Restaurant, Bar & Lounge located near to Pratt University in
Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. Brooklyn Soul will “fill the void for soul music that has been missing in New York City for a
long time.” Saids event producer Alicia Green.

Inspired by the multicultural city it is named after, Brooklyn Soul will play a global blend of music from artists such
as Kassav, Machel Montano, Beres Hammond, Bob Marley, Fela Kuti, Ceilia Cruz, Jill Scott, Outkast, Jay Z,
Nina Simone, P Squared, Floetry, Michael Jackson, Soul to Soul, Queen, Men At Work, Madonna & Prince.
