What: Launch of 2013 JCDC Jamaica Visual Arts Exhibition

Time: 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m.

The Honourable Lisa Hanna, Minister of Youth & Culture will officially launch the 2013 JCDC Jamaica Visual Arts Competition & Exhibition on Sunday, December 8 at the Jamaica Conference Centre, where the exhibition will remain until Sunday, December 22, 2013. . The public will be able to view award-winning pieces free of charge, daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Sunday, December 8: Launch Day Activities:

1:00-1:30 p.m. Concert Performances include Saxophonist, Dwayne Foster and JCDC 2013 Jamaica Children’s Gospel winner, Damarli Foster among others
2:30- 3:30 p.m. A Panel Discussion: “Critical Intersections: Brand Jamaica & the Visual Arts” with Miss Marisa Benain, Director of Cultural Policy, Ministry of Youth & Culture; Mr. Harold Davis, Deputy CEO, JBDC; Sharon Fox-Mould, Artist & Former JGOA President and Miss Joan Webley, Attorney-at-Law & Nanook Founder. Moderator: Mr. Mortimer McPherson, Chairman, JCDC Visual Arts Committee.
4:15 p.m. The Official Opening by Hon. Lisa Hanna, Minister of Youth & Culture
