Lemon Grass Production – Huge Earning Potential

Lemon Grass, otherwise known as fever grass in Jamaica has excellent prospects due to the presence of components which are valuable in the food, household and personal care products industry.  It is even reputed to have therapeutic value and therefore has a high demand on the international market.

The Scientific Research Council (SRC) and Churches Credit Union have signed a MOU which will see investors wishing to become involved any where along the value chain of Lemon Grass production, given preferential support.

Mr. Basil Naar (right), managing director, Churches seems amazed by the many uses of Lemon Grass as outlined by both Dr. Audia Barnett, executive director of SRC and Mr. James Moss-Solomon, chairman of SRC.
