LIME Gets Ready For ‘Skool Aid’ 2012 – August 25, 2012 Portmore. Jamaica

-Telecoms company prepares to welcome over 30,000 ‘back-to-schoolers’

Kingston, Jamaica – August 19, 2012 – Telecommunications company LIME is now finalizing plans for the staging of its massive back-to-school event – ‘LIME Skool Aid’ -  scheduled for next Saturday (August 25) at the Jamworld showground in Waterford, Portmore.

Sponsorship Manager, Stephen Miller says the company is preparing to welcome over 30,000 patrons including students and parents to the event which will offer a complete suite of services needed for the reopening of schools in September.

“Again we will be offering free health and dental checks including immunizations and free back to school supplies. We will also be hosting a number of suppliers and retailers of various educational items from which parents can access a wide range of back to school essentials all in one location”, Miller pointed out.

“In addition, we also promise a fun-filled day of activities , prizes and surprises”, which Miller highlights will include a Skool Aid ‘Olympics Zone’, petting zoo, rides and a host of other entertainment”.

Miller also informs that students who attend the event will also stand a chance to win one of several scholarships and other educational incentives being offered by the company.

“Over the past two years we have provided more than 30 educational grants for both primary and secondary students” he added.

Now in its third year, the highly anticipated event will also offer a range of deals and discounts on LIME products and services including computers and internet packages.

Patrons have the opportunity to purchase the Lenovo C200, an all-in-one desktop or the Lenovo netbook at specially reduced prices if they sign up for one of two internet plans. These two plans are the postpaid mobile internet plan or the ‘Browse and Talk’ plan, which are available on contract.

The all-in-one desktop will be available for $24,999 + tax and the netbook will go for $14,999 + tax.

Tickets for the event are available at select LIME locations in Kingston and Portmore with the purchase of a $200 mobile top up or ‘Jus Talk’ international calling card.
