It will be an atmosphere of reverence and celebration tomorrow evening as internationally renowned gospel artiste Kevin Downswell and premier telecoms company, LIME join forces to stage the launch of the singer’s latest album, The Search Continues.
The launch scheduled for the Eastwood Park New Testament Church of God will see Kevin Downswell performing songs from the album including his hit single ‘If It’s Not You’. Downswell, who had made his mark in the music industry, is never shy when it comes to winning souls, and his new album furthers that mission.
According to Downswell he has grown tremendously both spiritually and vocally since his first album.
“This takes my ministry to the next level. My new album has 18 tracks, five of which are collaborations with fellow artistes like Papa San, Prodigal, Ryan Mark and it is also a great improvement in production quality over the first one” he adds.
Danny Browne, Stephen Stewart and Dwain ‘Wiya’ Campbell are among the top notch producers featured on the album, with all tracks written by Downswell.
Other artistes including Mark, Dr Carlene Davis and Lubert Levy will be making special appearances at the launch.
Grace Silvera, Regional VP for Marketing & Corporate Communications says “We are very delighted to be able to join Kevin on this mission. For us he represents a beacon of light for a new generation and a unifying force for our nation. We also commend him on the completion of his second album The Search Continues.”
According to Downswell’s manager, Wendell Lawrence, the launch ‘takes the experience of introducing a new album to the market to a new level and it goes beyond the traditional, paid, single event launch and is in response to overwhelming demand outside of Kingston for the experience to be extended to the rural areas’.
Stops in Mandeville, Negril, Portland, Montego Bay and St. Ann are scheduled as part of the island-wide tour over the next two months.
LIME places boundless emphasis on building communities ties, and with this partnership, a great bond will be formed with the strong religious community that exists within the country.
