Linkup Radio Announcing New Show “Celebrity Mornings”

On Monday April 16 2012 the airwaves of WVIP 93.5 FM will be revolutionized when the “King of Mix-up”, Kingsley “Ragashanti” Stewart, Ph.D. joins the Linkup Radio 93.5 FM WVIP family and kicks off the show “Drive Time with Ragashanti Live” from 6:00-10:00 a.m. He will host the show Mondays to Fridays.

 

This will be exclusive to Linkup Media and will be syndicated worldwide on multiple stations.

Ragashanti, as he is popularly known in both his home country Jamaica and Worldwide; has been dubbed one of Jamaica’s most popular and successful talk show hosts and entertainer.

 

Known for his exceptional ability to creatively integrate humor and intellectualism in an entertaining manner he has helped to stir cultural consciousness of his tens of thousands of listeners.

Ragashanti through his talk shows has commandingly stamped his mark with his fearless and comedic commentary.

 

He is a highly favored master of ceremonies who has hosted many well known shows in Jamaica and abroad, including “STING”, “Follow the Arrow” and his very own annual Christmas comedy show,” Mix Up an Blenda.”

 

Dr. Stewart is a product of inner city Jamaica growing up in part on the streets of Kingston Jamaica. After numerous run-ins with the law he transformed his life, after what he refers to as a “worldview shift:”

His shift in “worldview” allowed him to slowly eliminate his justifications for self-destructive behavior and to consciously adopt, use and maintain new principles that empowered him to live successfully.

He holds a doctorate in anthropology and is a lecturer and professor at universities in Jamaica and the United States.

Ragashanti lives by the motto: Laugh, Learn and Grow!

 

This is following recent developments at Linkup Radio 93.5FM WVIP that warranted the power move by CEO David “Squeeze” Annakie in acquiring Kingsley “Ragashanti” Stewart, Ph.D. The morning slot became vacant upon the removal of previous broadcaster Garfield “Brother Gary” Smith from the tri-state’s most powerful independent radio program and only 24 hours Caribbean Station in the New York Metropolitan area.

 

Linkup Radio 93.5FM WVIP falls under the Linkup Media Group of Companies which is the flagship corporation of powerful entertainment groups, premium health products, and life improvement operations. They cater to the multicultural communities globally, with headquarters located in the heart of the financial district in New York City.

Similarly Roy “Gramps” Morgan who is a member of internationally renowned sibling band Morgan Heritage joins the Linkup Radio 93.5 FM WVIP family on Monday April 16 2012 from 5:00-6:00 am. He will host a one hour show Monday-Friday.

Morgan Heritage band has released over ten albums and has extensively toured the world, amassing a wide fan base and selling millions of copies of their albums worldwide.

Gramps was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Springfield, Massachusetts with his parents and 29 other siblings.

 

In   2009 Gramps released his first solo album “2 Sides of My Heart Volume 1”, on his own Dada Son Entertainment label.

The album comprised several chart toppers including “Wash The Tears”, which he wrote, composed and produced. He has also won numerous awards and nominations including but not limited to the award for “Album of The Year” at the 2010 Excellence in Music Awards and a nomination for ‘Best Reggae Artist” at the 2010 Centric Soul Train Awards.

 

Gramps was also instrumental in working on Buju Banton’s winning reggae album “Before The Dawn” at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards.

 

Gramps is currently working on his next reggae album titled “Reggae Music Lives” with his first single “The Almighty” already released and riding high on many reggae charts globally.
