The Reggae Sumfest festivities are set to culminate this weekend in Mobay and two lucky ladies are happier than most patrons who plan to attend the shows. The two lucky ladies were each treated to a $100,000 shopping spree and Spa treatments compliments of the Digicel Text to Win Reggae Sumfest Promotion. The promotion was opened from June 26 until July 17 and customers were asked to text in their answer to the question; “Why music matters to you?”

The winners, Treshana Jenkins and Antoinette Brown from Bull Bay and Tivoli Gardens respectively, kicked off their prize-winning journey with a two hour shopping spree at the Miami Heat Clothes Store with Digicel Diva of Dancehall and Brand Ambassador for Reggae Sumfest 2009, Lady Saw.  The afternoon only got better for Treshana and Antoinette as they were both whisked off to the Adam and Eve Spa where they were joined by Dancehall Diva D’Angel for their $20,000 makeover. “I am still speechless, I am happy. I still cannot believe that I won in this promotion,” expressed a happy 21 year old Treshana Jenkins.

As part of their prize, both ladies will also get to attend the three day Reggae Festival at Catherine Hall in Montego Bay in true VIP style. This package includes all inclusive accommodation for two at the Iberostar Hotel in Montego Bay and personal transportation from Kingston to Montego Bay.

“It is always very rewarding to see the reaction from our customers after winning in one of our promotions”, expressed Wayne Miller, Digicel’s Head of Marketing. Miller also highlighted that both ladies will be treated in a bigger and better way at Reggae Sumfest, as they will both receive all access to the Digicel VIP booth and a chance to mingle with some of Jamaica’s most talented performers.

Digicel is platinum sponsors for Reggae Sumfest 2009 and has launched as its theme the ‘Divas of Dancehall’ in which it will celebrate all the female Dancehall artists who have participated in Reggae Sumfest over the years. The ambassadors chosen by the telecommunications giant this year are Lady Saw and D’Angel
