The second live show for the third season of Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall will take over Weekendz Bistro and Bar on Constant Spring Road tonight at 9:30pm.
Following the premiere of the first live show on TVJ last Saturday the much-anticipated Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall contestants delivered on their promise of creating excitement while entertaining the masses both at Weekendz and in TV land.
Weekendz was set on fire last Saturday night with authentic original dancehall when Dre Blunt proclaimed ‘Mi Have It’ and then proved that he did by throwing US Dollars into the crowd. Tanto Blacks told the ladies that he had the banana and showed that he also had the dexterity and the acrobatics to keep the crowd glued to his every move. The women also held their own with Gallawas setting the stage for what would be a sexy, energy filled night.
Last week also saw Chozenn, Elliot, Posh and Reggae Queen wow the crowd. Tonight however four of last week’s performers will be sent home and will lose their chance of becoming this year’s Magnum King and Queen of Dancehall. It’s all down to the voting and the two princes and two princesses with the lowest votes will have to go home.
Last week only 10 of the top 20 performed and tonight will see the other ten contestants who made it through the audition rounds show their talent. The likes of Gibralta, Beego Blood, Blackberry and DJ Mary will take the stage to prove to Jamaica whether they have what it takes to wear the Magnum crown.
The show tonight will also feature a top flight guest artiste, local dancehall dancers and fashion by Mamayashi.
With the promise of Millions of dollars worth of cash and prizes to be won, Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall has been able to attract the best dancehall talent in the country and has proved its legitimacy as dancehall’s premier talent show.
If you can’t be at the Weekendz Bistro and Bar then watch the show live on TVJ at 9:30pm when the excitement will continue.
