“I am still determined to be cheerful and happy, in whatever situation I may be; for I have also learned from experience that the greater part of our happiness or misery depends upon our dispositions, and not upon our circumstances.”
Martha Washington
I have had so many things go wrong in my life. I have experienced shattered dreams and had to live through broken promises. But in the midst of it all, I choose to count it all joy. I decided however to look for the positive within my negative situation. I have come to find out that thinking negatively can drag down our moods, our actions and even our health.
Not many people are willing to choose the high road. Some are more comfortable feeling sorry for them self, and having a pity party. Someone might have contributed to some of the negative things that have happened to you, but resist the need to blame others for your misfortune. If you have given away your power by harboring resentment and unforgiveness, make today be the day you choose to take back your power.
Being positive is a choice you have to make every minute of the day. Some of us are in a financial crisis and every minute that does by it seems like things are getting worse. We have to choose to be positive, or we will soon find ourselves in a pit of depression so deep it will be hard for us to dig our way out of. Whatever is going on right now, just know it won’t last always. Seasons change, and so too will our situations.
Think about the positive things you want to happen for you. See yourself experiencing it and enjoy the positive emotions that comes along with it. Repeat daily until have mastered the art of staying positive in a negative world.
Positive Affirmation: Today I choose to release myself of all negativity. I will also seek to look for the positive in every situation. I will not make excuses for my actions or blame someone else for my misfortunes. Today I choose to act like a winner because I am a WINNER.
