Location:  Excelsior, Kingston

Description: Carrying out predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery and equipment, in order to minimize down time and maximize the production capacity of the company, while ensuring that the company’s safety procedures are followed at all times; Installing new equipment; Performing the duties of a machine operator; Assisting in the collating and cataloging of maintenance records; Contributing to the development of department plans, policies, operational procedures and objectives; Researching and recommending the use of new technology; Using technical skills training to assist with the on the job training of other employees

Qualifications: Sound analytical skills to aid in troubleshooting; Sound knowledge of general machinery and equipment repair techniques such as welding, fabricating and machining; Ability to exercise sound judgment; Good time management skills; Good oral and written communication skills; Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualifications; Two (2) years post qualification experience in a similar capacity
