The 2014 Mello Go Roun’ will be staged on Emancipation Day, Friday, August 1 beginning at 8:00 p.m. at the Jamaica Festival Village, the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre.
Organized by the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC), an agency of the Ministry of Youth and Culture, Mello Go Roun’ promises to be an exciting experience for the family. Mello Go Roun’ is being held under the theme, “It’s Mello Mystic” and will showcase the most entertaining and award-winning talent pieces from the JCDC Performing Arts Competition in the categories of speech, music, dance and traditional folk forms.
As the premier family entertainment event of the Jamaica Festival, Mello Go Roun’ promises to provide an evening of excellent entertainment as the Jamaica Festival celebrations are heightened.
Tickets for the Show can be had at the Portmore Mall Pharmacy, Sangster’s Book Store (Mall Plaza, Portmore, Sovereign, King Street), JCDC Offices and online, www.jcdcjamaica.com. Tickets cost adults $900 pre sold, $1000 at the gate and children $400 while public sector employees are able to purchase tickets at $800 with identification.

The Jamaica Festival Village which will be housed at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre will be opened daily from 12 noon to 5 p.m. on August 1 to 5. The Village will feature daily and nightly events and activities for the entire family including concerts, exhibitions and expositions, a Kiddies Village, Rides and Attractions.
