The Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) will host a series of activities on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the Louise Bennett Garden Theatre, 36 Hope Road, Kingston 10 to celebrate the 94th birthday anniversary of the late Hon. Louise Bennett-Coverley.
The day’s activities will include :
- 2:00 p.m. Exhibition & Multimedia Presentation on her work and life
- 4:00 p.m. ‘Tenky Miss Lou’ Concert featuring her songs and poems
- 6:00 p.m. Cultural Dialogue-“Jamaica Labrish: 50 years on…”
The main discussants for the Dialogue are Dr. the Hon. Barbara Gloudon, Dr. Dennis Howard and Mr. Clyde McKenzie
