For the first time together anywhere, JW Production in association with Energy Radio will be presenting Mr. Vegas and Sanchez live on Saturday February 9 in Hartford, Connecticut. The Pre Valentine Showcase will be backed by a live band, Inner Roots, straight out of New York. The event will be held at the United Banquet Hall, 2964 Main Street, Hartford, Connecticut.
Mr. Vegas, after enduring a highly publicized break up with his ex girlfriend and mother of his last child, is on a whirlwind tour throughout North America and all over the world. Mr. Vegas, otherwise known as Clifford Smith, shot to fame in 1998 with hits such as “Yu Sure” and “Jack It Up”. His major hits “Nike Air” and “Heads High” propelled him to fame both locally and internationally. Mr. Vegas has been consistently making hits year after year since then, and has crossed over into other genres from Soca, collaborating with the genre’s undisputed powerhouse, Machel Montano, to Reggaeton, having worked with the legendary Don Omar. Most recently, Mr. Vegas has been making waves in the industry with his mega hit, “Bruk It Down”. The hit has even become a crossover success and has received strong airplay on urban radio stations all across the United States.
Kevin Anthony Williams, better known as Sanchez, rose to notoriety in Jamaica after he recorded “Lady in Red” in 1987. Since then he has become reggae’s own mellow voiced crooner, covering songs by popular artistes from oldies love songs to modern R&B hits. Sanchez is most popular for hits such as “Loneliness Won’t Leave Me Alone”, “Never Dis The Man”, and “One In A Million”, among many others. His appeal has held steady throughout the years and his concerts are always highly anticipated by his fans all over the world.
The February 9 event in Hartford is expected to be well attended, as a dynamic performance is expected by the duo. Male patrons have been reportedly anticipating a high volume of female attendees, and that appears to be sufficient reason for them to attend the event. With Sanchez setting the tone for Valentine’s with his smooth voice, and Mr. Vegas to work the groove with smash hits like “Bruk It Down”, this event is expected to be one of the best shows of 2013.
