R.E.$. in association with Tyme Entertainment is announcing the brand new exciting music video from Tyme Johnson featuring the hit single “Want My Keys”.
“Want My Keys” is the first hot new single off of her new soundtrack album “A Matter of Time”, a blend of hip hop, jazz and soul, dropping in stores in early 2010. It is a powerful song that everyone can relate to: falling in love, being used, and finally getting fed up to the point of breaking.
“A Matter of Time: A Musicians Manhattan Experience of Love, Tragedy, Determination, and Growth,” is the complimentary soundtrack to Tyme’s upcoming novel of the same name which is also coming out earlier next year.
The novel, “A Matter of Time: A Musicians Manhattan Experience of Love, Tragedy, Determination, and Growth”, is a story about an aspiring singer/songwriter that makes the long awaited move to New York City to become a star. She begins her journey by moving to Harlem, New York from Los Angeles, California. Although she is a semi-established singer on the West Coast, she knew that New York was the place to be for music and would help elevate her career. On her way she experiences great loss and misfortune ending up with her being almost homeless and penniless. Yet Tyme has persevered and now with this book, others will know that it is possible to survive even the roughest of times to make your dreams come true.
Tyme Johnson is a singer and a writer who has used her own experiences in the music industry and her life to spread her knowledge to the masses. Tyme feels that she does not want to be boxed into any one type of music style, but wants to explore it all.
For several years, Tyme has worked in the music business singing and writing with artists such as The Notorious B.I.G, Tupac, Big Syke, DJ Quik, E-40, and many other R&B artists. Her songs have been featured in movies, including the award winning B-movie, “The First Testament” which first gained its notoriety in Korea and “Love and Orgasms” (Sony Pictures). She also landed a contract with L’Oreal for “Copper Penny”(A song on her debut album) to be featured on their website. She also has had the pleasure of starring in Eve Ensler’s “The Vagina Monologues”.
