Fresh off scoring his first number one song in Jamaica, Get Better, reggae/urban pop artiste Nando Griffiths (“Nando”) is gearing up for the impending launch of his debut album Yaad and Abroad. The son of legendary Jamaican champion jockey Winston “Fanna” Griffiths is looking to kick-start his riddim riding career by shooting the video for the promotional single Ride all Night on Wednesday February 8, 2012, at Magnet Sports & Entertainment Lounge (“Magnet”) in Elmont, NY.
Ride all Night is an up-tempo soca/dancehall track with suggestive lyrics and crossover appeal in the mould of Kevin Little’s Turn Me On and Rupee’s Tempted to Touch. The video will be directed by Ralph “Uncle Ralph” McDaniels of Video Music Box fame. Tanisha Scott (Sean Paul, Jay Z, etc) will be choreographing some fresh dance moves while perennial New York favorites Road International will keep the music flowing.
With this star-studded cast, the video for Ride all Night is expected to propel the talented lovers rock and urban pop singer to the forefront of the line of emerging reggae/dancehall singers. Fans, including those with a fondness for the video light, looking to be a part of this special event are invited to come over to Magnet at 5pm on Wednesday for a chance to be featured in the video. Dress code is sexy and sophisticated. Fun, food, and refreshments will be provided. Magnet is located at 241-05 Linden Blvd Elmont, NY, 11003. We look forward to seeing you there in your riding gear.
