Although she has been busy writing hits with some of the hottest producers, singer/songwriter Nefatari still finds the time to continue recording music for her fans. Her new single “All the Boys” was recorded during her recent stay in Jamaica. The song is infectious with a catchy chorus that is sure to be stuck in your head after a few listens.
Through her unique pop/reggae flare, Nefatari has attracted the likes of producer, Ricardo Bailey (Digiplay). Bailey has his eyes set on becoming one of the “goto” producers of the Dancehall community, when he drops his first smashing riddim called “ICE”. “I’m really excited being featured on the ICE riddim. My single “All the Boys” is a relevant, empowering record that everyone woman can relate to” says Nefatari. “I feel honored to be included on this riddim which includes other acts such as Erup, Munga, Charly Black, Kym and Macka Diamond.”
“All the Boys” (ICE riddim) will be released this week in Jamaica and will be available on iTunes very soon. Although the riddim consist of over a dozen artists, Bailey believes he would do even better internationally if he had the opportunity to have Sean Paul, Gyptian or Shaggy jump on the ICE riddim (all of which have either sold multi-platinum or hit the top of the billboard charts). Mr. Bailey might just have his dream come true as the “ICE” riddim is already creating noise overseas in his hometown of Jamaica.
Nefatari’s recent accomplishments include : performing at Irie Jamboree in NYC which had a crowd that swelled to over 30,000 people; her mix-tape single “Want Him” (on the Gangsta Beat Riddim) receiving spins on Zip 103 in Jamaica and Hot 97 with Bobby Konder and Jabba in NY; and putting on a high energy performance for a huge crowd at Clippers II in Queens, NY with multi-platinum recording artist Shaggy.
