For those not familiar with ‘Ranchie’ McLean, Ranchie on Bass Sly Dunbar on drums created the new “rockers” style that would change the whole Jamaican sound from roots reggae to rockers, and be imitated in all other productions. He was a part of the 1975 house band of the Channel One Studios owned by Joseph Hoo Kim.  He wrote songs such as the Grammy winning “Rub a Dub Partner” sung by Jimmy Cliff and Roots Woman.   Venessa has decided to answer her musical calling which follows the trail left by her father.

Stopa the Rhymecca is a renowned Hip Hop Artist born in Arusha Town, Tanzania. A Swahili version of   “Ghetto Sound “will be on his Album Scheduled to be released on 25th December 2020.

Ghetto Sound was mixed and mastered by Nicholas Owiti AKA Q the Don Tanzanian. Cover Art was drawn by Editorial Cartoonist Clovis Brown .

What inspired the song?  Venessa & Stopa said the following:

“The song was inspired by social realities of persons living in the Ghetto worldwide such as poverty, poor housing unemployment, hunger, crime & violence, lack of education and societal and classicism”. Both Stopa and Venessa believe that music should be a voice for the voiceless.
