New Atlanta Foundation Provides Complementary Health Care Solutions

The J’Lore Foundation, Inc. was launched this month to support alternative care solutions for those facing life-threatening illnesses.

The foundation focuses its alternative approaches on diseases such as diabetes and cancer, and tries to fill a gap caused because most insurance plans do not cover alternative health care treatments.

The foundation was launched by Atlanta-based healthy lifestyle coach and educator, Jestacia Jones. She and a group of women from various wellness industry areas turned to the Holy Book for remedies which could make a difference in people’s lives.

The result is Biblical Aromatherapy – the use of oils and herbal blends mentioned in the Bible – as treatments to restore, balance and heal the mind, body and spirit. The approach combines alternative health care solutions with spa wellness treatments and scripture.

Jones, the Foundation’s president who authored the e-book “The Ministry of Mind, Body and Spirit – Life Balance Journal For Quiet Times,” was inspired by her friend the late CNN news anchor Andria Hall while at a women’s conference in Saint Lucia in 2006.

Following Hall’s battle with breast cancer, Jones – realizing that Biblical Aromatherapy teaching was much greater than herself – set out on an aggressive mission to utilize, teach and bring the benefits of Biblical Aromatherapy to those in need.

“As a busy mom and entrepreneur, I can relate to being out of balance as well as the importance of embracing balance as a lifestyle,” Jones shared.

“My work is about assisting others in achieving and maintaining balance from the inside out.  For years, I put the ‘look’ together for the film and television industry (as a total image coach for skin, hair and wardrobes). But these days life is about simplicity, loving and enjoying the beauty of balance in each day.”

Jones, a Christian consulting professional who offers free consultations for people facing life threatening illnesses, recommends an integrative approach to medicine which includes healthy eating, regular exercise, Biblical Aromatherapy and changing destructive mental habits.

“The scriptures teach us that ‘as a man thinketh in his heart so is he.’ Therefore, we must commit to changing the way we think, and speaking life, not death, over our lives, our family’s lives, our circumstances and even the economy!” she exhorts.

The J’Lore Foundation seeks to partner with individuals, philanthropists, academic institutions and socially responsible businesses to provide alternative healthcare options to needy members within the Greater Atlanta community.

The organization’s 501(c)(3) non-profit status is pending, which means that current donations aren’t  tax deductible until non-profit status is granted by the Internal Revenue Service. Meanwhile, the J’Lore Foundation encourages making a financial or in-kind contribution to help the cause and those needing assistance.
