New Orleans Comes To South Florida As The St. Hugh’s Alumnae Association Of South Florida Hosts “Mardi Gras In May”, May 1, 2010, Florida

Now you can find Mardi Gras in South Florida as the St. Hugh’s Alumnae Association of South Florida will host it’s first annual “Mardi Gras in May” on May 1st, 2010 in Sunrise Florida at 8:00 pm.

The Mardi Gras in May event will feature Captivating Jamaica Jazz Saxophonist, Jon Saxx, Sensational Jaime Hinckson on keyboards, and Dynamite DJ Mark Swaby. Attendees are encouraged to dress and revel Mardi Gras style.

“The jazz, the shimmer, and the excitement of Mardi Gras is not confined to only New Orleans” said Karen Murphy, a member of the he St. Hugh’s Alumnae Association of South Florida board, “We usually have a Fidelitas Jazz event each year and this new event is an extension of that theme”.

The celebration is to continue in the spirit of the St. Hugh’s High School 110th Anniversary celebrations.  All funds raised at the event will be donated to St. Hugh’s High School.
