February is celebrated as the month of love, black history and it is also the birth month of Reggae’s greats Bob Marley and Dennis Brown. What better time is there to celebrate Jamaican culture while encouraging philanthropy?
Night of the Stars Benefit Concert is the brainchild of event planner Lamoy McLean, founder and CEO of IWE weddings and events. “Everyone who comes out to this event is a star in their own way,” McLean stated. The concert aims to increase awareness about some existing small businesses, community participation and expand on cultural perspectives while raising funds for the reconstruction of the Rock Hall Basic School.
This exciting benefit concert will be held on February 24, 2018 at 7:00 pm to 2: 00 am at the Kingston 10 Sports Bar and Grill. A variety of talented presenters, deejays and artistes such as Mighty Diamonds and Anthony Cruz as well as surprise performers will be in action on this night of fun and culture. “Patrons should come out to support a worthy cause, to be entertained and to enjoy a night of live music and Reggae month festivities,” McLean remarked. A photo booth will also be present at the venue where patrons can have their own mini photoshoots. Food and refreshments will also be on sale.
The Night of the Stars Benefit Concert is sponsored by Kingston 10 Sports Bar & Grill, JFK Music and Wow Moments. Tickets are $800 general admission, $1200 VIP and will be available pre sold at Kingston 10 Sports Bar & Grill, Music Mart and at the Rock Hall Basic School. Admission will be $1000 at the gate.
