O’Neil Edwards of popular dancehall group Voicemail, remains in a critical but stable condition in intensive care at The Kingston Public Hospital. Family and friends continue to pray and monitor his progress even amidst false rumors of a worsening condition.
Members of the entertainment fraternity have united in prayer for the entertainer, an act which has provided some comfort for his family and friends. Group member, Jerome “Craig” Jackson says “it is a difficult time for the brotherhood Voicemail and the family and we are strengthened by the display of love and solidarity by members of the entertainment fraternity. However, several persons have been communicating wrong information regarding our brother and we just want them to stop and be responsible in their actions and stop encouraging and participating in rumours.”
O’Neil, was attacked and shot as he was about to enter his house on Belloc Road in Duhaney Park, St. Andrew Monday morning. Doctors performed surgery that afternoon and have reported improvements his recuperation since then.
