Online Persistence frees deportees…

Last week a family with 2 high schoolers in Miami was “arrested” by Homeland Security for deportation. The classmates of these students got online and started to email congress and other politicians. They started an online campaign on facebook.com . They also “worked” the phones but for the most part they worked online. The result is that the family has been given a 45-day repreive to fight their case. I think it is an amazing story because in just one week these students were able to move congress to do something for their friends.
