On Sandy Daley’s Mini Book Tour, It’s Straight Talk No Chaser

Fresh off a very successful trip to Barbados, where literary sources said she fascinated the island with her book, Sandy Daley, author of “Whose Vagina Is It, Really?”, continues her mini book tour stateside before she returns to the Caribbean for another book signing.

“I feel very fortunate to be doing this,” Daley said. “Wherever I go, women and men love and appreciate the content of my book. The fact is the book was never written for me alone, but for men and women to learn and grow from.”

Even without the support of a major publisher, the Jamaican born, Toronto based author feels that comedian Steve Harvey’s does not have anything on her.

“I may not have the budgets and the connections to secure a big publisher, however I feel my book speaks to some of the same issues that Harvey addresses in his book, only that I deal with it from a woman’s perspective” she reasoned.

With lot of persistence and a bit of luck, Daley has been able to rack up radio interviews and book signings from coat to coast. She has an important book-signing at Chapters Bookstore in Toronto on February 5th, 2011, the place where she spent many hours last year doing research for her book. She also snagged another important book signing next week at Howard University in Washington, DC, a historically black institution that played an important role in American history and the Civil Rights movements.

“Harvey just had a book-signing there last week. Now it is my turn, in the same spot. How cool is that?”, she asked

Daley’s mini book tour ends in Jamaica on Valentine’s weekend, with a book-signing at Sangters bookstore in Kingston and Montego Bay.
