PAPA Sound releases the single Money with the voice of Jamaican Macka Diamond. It’s a mid tempo energy track, musically influenced by contemporary dancehall, trapp and reggae. With this song, Swedish producers continue their series of singles in collaboration with Jamaican singers.
Macka Diamond is a Jamaican recording artist, singer and songwriter mainly influenced by dancehall. Her lyrics often refer to joy, party and self-development. After having used various stage names since the 1980s, in 2003 she adopted the current one while releasing the single Tek Con, a protest record to Vybz Kartel’s track Tek Buddy. She commented on the new single Money: “The lyrics speak about the feeling when the money disappears far too quickly from your bank account, while you dream of getting incredibly rich and spending it big style.”
