JAMPACT regrets the passing of loyal member and former Board member Melody Frazer. Melody passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2012 after battling with a terminal illness. Over the past four years, Melody committed a great deal of her time, energy and resources to JAMPACT. At almost every JAMPACT related initiative, you would see a consistent and familiar face, Melody’s.
Melody provided whatever resources she could to the up-building of JAMPACT, primarily to build our capacity to better serve our adopted basic school children. When she could, Melody would directly give to the schools and would continuously assess their needs to determine what more could be done.
Late nights, Queens, Manhattan, Brooklyn, whatever and wherever,Melody would made herself available. Melody served JAMPACT in the capacity of Membership Chair and Secretary. She was very driven about her work with JAMPACT including strong encouragement and efforts to ensure we remain a credible organization. Even when things got challenging at times, Melody remained unwavering and steadfast.
Melody was also a great friend and support to other JAMPACT members. She will truly be missed with many endearing memories. May her soul rest in the loving arms of Jesus Christ, whom she avowedly confessed in all she did. We pray for the comfort of her family and that many wonderful memories of her warm their hearts. Melody leaves behind a husband of 30 years, Leroy Frazer, and their four sons.
