……………………Save me!” “Else I’ll sink!”
i never read a love letter
Or a heard a song written in dark ink
to me
that does not require open pockets
me in a rose bed, washing my body
like dishes, stack up in an overcrowded sink.
I never knew love was scriptures
To kiss every day at the cost of blood shed
“A sinner I am—echoes to the color of rose pink.
……………..Save me!” “Else I’ll sink!”
Forgive me, tonight I’ll read a word
to ‘passion’ and give thanks to the cleansing
cool water: the absence of daddy,
my mother–brave she was,
wore the cool color of rose pink.
