The Rotary Clubs of Christiana in Jamaica and Menomonie in Wisconsin has donated a tabletop autoclave to the Percy Junor Hospital (PJH) valued at J $800,000.00 on Thursday, August 4 on the hospital grounds in Manchester. This equipment will be used to sterilize surgical equipment and laboratory instruments which will boost the hospital’s efficiency. Mr. Michael Bent, Regional Director for the Southern Regional Health Authority (SRHA), which administrates the hospital thanked the Clubs for their support noting that the COVID-19 Pandemic has provided an opportunity for greater partnerships between the Government of Jamaica and service clubs, organizations and other entities which has been truly beneficial to the country.
