Nine performing acts led by Billboard chart-topping artist Bernard Jackson of Shower Me With Your Love fame came out on Friday night to celebrate the holidays at the Axiom/ 151 Reggae party at the Axiom Studios in Newark, NJ. The four-hour event formed part of a live internet broadcast on axiomonline.tv, and the artists were joined by scores of reggae lovers including Miss Jamaica USA 2008 Terri-Ann Wright, Steve Gross, publisher of the Mitchell Advertising Group, New York, Patrick Reid, president of the Jamaica Organization of New Jersey and Don Green, one of the founders of Reggae Sunsplash.
Sizzling live performances came from upcoming reggae artists Ras Emmanuel, Krebbe, Doctor Love, Devon Jorge, Paashot, Elvis D, G Crowd and Active Dancers. Bernard Jackson, formerly of the R & B group Surface brought the house down with a scorching reggae version of his number one hit single Shower Me With Your Love.
Friday night’s party was hosted by Dave Rodney with DJ Ness spinning the music. Entertainment reporter Anthony Turner presented the weekly Entertainment Link with reggae news from around the world. Catering for the party was provided by Alton Henry of Touch of Elegance Catering in New Jersey.
