Poem: Classic Blues 2022

I share my space with you
For a while, it was, dinner for two:
We were happy, most days, then came,
A different season, view, a different you!
Sunny sky, the great big blues:
I share my heart with you
But it seems, jealousy consumed
Every part of you: You say that’
“I was not faithful, I was not true!”

Blame it, on the streets!

Blame it my dear, old you!
Blame it, that maybe, you could not live,
To see me succeed—be free from chains

That tries to hold, me and you:
Blame it, on me, not living up,

To a standard—you expect well due:
Blame it, that I was not focus,
Not, listening to you!
I share my space with you
Now, hear our hearts sing,
Repetitious songs, of the classic old blues!
