Poem: Disguised

Photo credit: Tamara Gak

Some look so sweet and refine:

Some smiles are so rosy & kind,

Some dine with you and I,

Sharing many stories of loss, joy, hope,

—And how they won the prize:

Some are charming, as bright,

As the still beautiful moonlight,

In disguise, they seem to be alright:

They are what they are, I am what I am,

Even in our flaws, grace has its way,

To enter in our lives;

to those who may, appear distant,

unloving, unworthy and polite!
