Poem: Do I Wish to Say Goodbye

Mmmmm, “Do I, wish to say goodbye?

Good question! “Not this minute or hour of the day!”

I thought, Mmmmm, “My beloved, don’t you know,

We are connected, somehow, some way?”

Can I survive this life? Mmmmm, without your presence,

Love seem absence, lifeless, each and every day?

“How do I see you yesterday? How do I see you today?”

Now that you are passed on, into the light, bright

As a gracious day: In my eyes, I see a perfect,

balance, beautiful soul, that gave her time, talent,

Her heart and presence away:

“What will you write about me, if it’s’ true?”

I hope a pleasant word: “I thank you

And I’ll remember you always!”

“Will my tears fall, like raindrops every day?”

Or will I rejoice that you’re at peace

And grace has found my way!

Like autumn wind songs, brings hearts together,

You showed me — great ancestors, what it means

To live life to the fullest, each and every day:

Yes, my dearest, without you, heaven seem so far away!”
