Poem: I Am God’s Best

I told myself I have exceptional friends,

That wish to see me soar higher,

Across and beyond the blue sky:

I told myself I am a success,

And I can walk and speak gracefully;

Pass obstacles, tests, so tastefully:

I told myself true love will find me,

Not the illusion that deceive,

That one has to fit in so perfectly;

And allow broken hearts feeling,

Nothing was achieved:

I told myself this over and over,

Again, “I am official — worthy,

The best, beautiful in all area,

Even in moments there is great stress:

“I Am worthy, valued, appreciated,

I am a beautiful soul, strong, wise,

Compassionate, kind, gracious;

“I am God’s very own — best!”
