Poem: I Love the Moon

She says, “I love the Moon!”

Mellow, it makes my heart bloom:

Like great music, its ‘glow,

Travel through my body,

as if  I am in heaven, late at night,

Even in the ‘wee late afternoon:

“I love the moon!”

Its presence calms my heart,

Takes me out of a dark lonely gloom:

I dress up in my best wear,

Spoil myself, with sweet

body mist—rare perfume

And imagine, I am truly with him,

Dancing to ‘true love,

In the seasons of summer, autumn,

Winter and spring,

The month of April, May, and June:

“I love the moon!”

“Do you?”
