Poem: I Use to Cry in My Silence

I use to cry in my silence

but no one could see
The many tear drops falling,

missing him, missing love

I thought I never had.
I use to scream “Why me God?
Sorrow s is all I have

And I did not care if I made him mad.

I use to cry in my silence
As I resist to peace, staring
At my naked feet, I felt really,

Sad, shame was my name

and self-pity, was all I had
Then I heard a silent voice echoes

“Don’t you know, you are my child?

“I am all that you have.”

I use to cry in my silence
As truth spoke, ‘stand strong!’
And I felt a presence
Even when I did not understand
I use to cry in my silence
I use to cry in my silence
I use to cry in my silence
As truth whisper, “My dear child
It’s time the tears end—’take my hand!’
