Poem: If I was an Instrument 2021

Photo credit: Adrià Tormo

I would play a love song to my heart,

Like Nina, Natalie, Louis & Day; I would play songs,

To my love ones, friends & family—my beautiful love child,

That resemble somewhat like me:

If I was an instrument my darling, —my dearest heart,

My instrument would, replace the many tears fallen,

In my dreams, believing you and I were on the same team:

I would make your heart smile—dance to each note,

Each melody, even if your heart finds my songs,

Less than charming: I would play, my instrument,

Oh, so magnificently; beyond the bluest and highest sky;

You would hear God greatest melody & know,

That it was Christ that save and blesses you and me.
