Poem: Kings and Queens

Photo credit: Jakayla Toney

I wish the streets would’ve been kind to many;

Sacred to those new—eager to meet, a new friend, face,

A new male, a new woman, like you and me;

Of different island, country, different nationality:

I found out ‘warriors—King & Queens, who fights for honor,

Paints murals, from the heart, to bring change, healing,

That display, great & victorious calming harmony, of vision,

— they wished to achieve for themselves–for the world;

In an artistic creativity.
