I was told we are only here, on earth for a time

Spring, summer, autumn, winter,

Rain, snow, hail — sunshine:

Come and go — pass us by: Some dance, shout,

Laugh, sing and cry for their friends,

Love ones that are no longer alive:

Some do not wish to say farewell, nor goodbye;

As their love one, transition to a place, hopefully kind:

I was told we are only here for a time

For some it’s a feeling of peace, balance,

Tranquility, complete joy to know,

Their love ones, receive the grand prize:

To see the face, the presence of their majestic King

Who laid down his precious life for us to begin:

A higher spiritual consciousness in flight

For those he loves and let their heart smile

For me, I hope I will be one of those

Who wear a crown and say “thank you infinite divine!’

I hope I will meet you and get there in time.
