Poem: Quiet Songster 2021

This mid-day, I listen to the blues,

That takes me back to the,

Sentimental, of my Carib—roots:

As the quiet songster sing,

I sat still, taking it all in;

Like the scent of fresh rose,

And the season, new growth,

Of the morning Spring.
