Poem:  Solitude in the Rain

Solitude in the rain, my soul feels, void again

In the month of February,

I am becoming more enlightened

Still, I wonder when this feeling is going to end

Missing the way, he strokes my face

His loyal and impressive embrace was intense

I believe the way he comforts me—sees me;

Like a beautiful, gracious, goddess—friend

“It was not a pretend!”

So, I encourage myself—as I daydream,

Raindrops poetic gems

Solitude in the rain, gentle,

Precious, like the breeze, “Spring comes again!”

“I am making good friends—most of all with myself!”

The raindrops softly cleanse, the trodden earth

As I peer through my spectacle lens.
