Poem: The Heart Speak

Photo credit: Ivan Diaz

Where are you my love?

Not the love that corrode

And breaks hearts,

The one that sees my presence,

Worthy—magnificent, because you hold my heart:

Where are you my love?

You who anchor, calms the raging storm:

Where are you great King?

That brings peace, order and joy within:

Did you not promise?

That love would continually be drench within;

—close, not far?

When I am up and when I am low,

I command greatness, great vision, true love,

That honors, seeks, the fullness, goodness, of my heart:

—let me sing your songs that sweeten hearts, as your great reward;

Let favor be your grace and goodness that empowers me,

As you change everything that is not right,

That troubles me—that troubles my heart!
