Poem: The Southern Blues

Different, conflicting—without you:

Won’t allow my heart to smile, when days are lonely, and words are few:

The Southern Blues, have the rich and poor, like cage bird,

Singing, unfamiliar songs, yet, it seems,

Some are singing, the same old tune; that tell tales

– to those who have no clue,

That we are one, beautiful, rare and awesome melody:

The Southern Blues, the Southern Blues, the Southern blues,

Let me hear the voice of God, cause you have — inspired,

Stir, awaken— the soul that feels at times blue,

The Southern blues, the Southern blues, the Southern blues,

I am getting to know more of you!!
