Poem: Where is the Christmas Spirit
Photo Credit: John Price

where is the Christmas spirit

since you have passed on:
and some of my love’s ones'
far away, in another state
maybe in another land:
crystal snow flurries,
blanket the earth,
and lights spread around
of colorful decoration:
in every heart, on every land;
that makes the soul rejoice
makes the soul dance:

where is the Christmas's spirit

some do not wish to plan;
the holiday seasons,
seems merry, joyful,
for some, while others'
it seems, sad:

where is the Christmas spirit

some say the Christmas spirit
is God's presence across the
country, continent,
across the land, that brings
joyful songs, peace and goodwill
to all man: where one and all
feel it in the ‘air,'
I hope this year, like sweet,
blessed romance and lots of gifts
to share, amongst each one:’

where is the Christmas spirit

since beepers, land phones
seems obsolete for some
on the land: smartphone now is,
the true attention;
to billions and billions
of populations:

where is the Christmas spirit,

I ponder, in our home,
and across the ocean
that brings good cheer
for everyone.
